SVAROOPA YOGA


Svaroopa is a Sanskrit term meaning to know oneself from within. Svaroopa yoga was founded by Rama Berch and comes under a system of Hatha Yoga. Svaroopa Yoga is usually used to settle down and relieve the tensions in muscles deep inside the body. In this form of Yoga different poses and Asanas are done focusing mainly for spine. By doing Yoga and experiencing the inner self is what is called as Svaroopa.

 

Svaroopa Yoga helps you to open up your body and bring it in proper alignment and posture and relieve tensions and spasm all over. This form of yoga is considered to promote healing and bring positive alteration inside the body. As this Yoga helps in decompression of spine so is found very beneficial for relieving pain and spasm of spine, neck and shoulders. It also improves one’s immunity and induces relaxation. Svaroopa Yoga has the magic four i.e. it has basic four Asanas under it which have to be performed. To perform Svaroopa Yoga simply lie and relax. Take a few deep breaths. Then perform the Magic four. Among the four basic poses the most effective is the last one named Jathara Parivrttanasana which is a reclining spinal twist. This twist takes away all tightness and spasm of your back which might have developed due to day long work in different and wrong postures. This twist can be performed anytime all through the day. Only thing which has to be considered is that one should take a gap of almost half to one hour from meals. Svaroopa Yoga is known to make a person ready to face the challenges of life and remain happy and energetic while doing so.
